Adobe シャンタヌ・ナラヤン CEO が退任の意向 18年間の長期体制に幕

Adobe は 3月12日(木)、現CEOの シャンタヌ・ナラヤン が退任の意向であることを発表。
18年に及んだ長期体制に一幕が降りる。

Adobe の長らく続いた体制に変化が訪れる。
2007年より18年間 Adobe の 3代目CEO を務めてきた Shantanu Narayen (シャンタヌ・ナラヤン) が、CEOの職を退任する意向であることを発表した。

今回の発表後、後継者が決まり次第の退任となる。
Adobe の筆頭独立社外取締役 (LID) である Frank Calderoni が特別委員会の委員長として任命され、今後数ヶ月間 社内, 社外 両候補者における検討プロセスを指揮する。
Shantanu Narayen は CEO として、社員数を 3,000人 から 30,000人以上へ、売上を 10億ドルから 250億ドル (約4兆円) を超える規模へと成長させた。
Photoshop などのツールを、買い切り版からサブスクリプション版の Creative Cloud へと転換するなど Adobe の在り方を大きく変えた人物と言える。
Figma の買収失敗なども記憶に新しい。

退任後は取締役会長 (Chair of the Board) に就任し、次期 CEO のサポートを行う予定となっている。
